Is one example of the official Lego brands Creator series. It is aimed primarily at children hence the Harry Potter licence. The program consists of a third person game were the player moves a Harry Potter character around. This avatar is made from lego type structures.They navigate around a map partially made from lego parts with the aim being to collect chocolate frogs.
There is also an option to enter a mode call "The work shop". This is a lego CAD environment. Users move bricks around a small area using the mouse. The interface is modal. i.e. when in one mode "Lift" The mouse only allows the user to move parts in the y axis. In move Mode users can move parts over the XZ plain. Unlike all the other programs i looked this CAD environment had a floor or base. The bricks were not floating in space.
